AN INDOOR ORCHARD
Outside the windows of this Orcas Island farmhouse is an heirloom apple orchard. The family wanted to live year round with blossoms and fruit, so my glaze development focused on how light filters through leaves. A few tile closeups are shown below. I finished the three-sided wood stove hearth during a late October storm, while winds stripped the living trees outside. I’ll post another photo after the wood stove is installed.
